Bulk Billing for Children’s Basic Dental Services

The Child Dental Benefits Schedule (CDBS) provides eligible children access to benefits for basic dental services for children aged 2-17 years for basic dental services. Provided you meet the eligibility criteria including,

  • Being eligible for Medicare and
  • Receiving or are a member of a family that receives certain Australian government payments

The total benefit entitlement is capped at $1,000 per child over two consecutive calendar years. The services that come under the CDBS include,

  • X-rays
  • Fillings
  • Root canals
  • Fissure sealing
  • Extractions
  • Partial dentures
  • Dental clean

Orthodontics or cosmetic dental procedures are not available under the CDBS.

Not all patients have private health cover, and we understand dentistry, sometimes, can be expensive due to the level of complexity of the treatment. That’s why we offer a finance option to help make your treatment more affordable with a payment plan to suit your current situation.

Third-party plan: Smile Right offers payment options and you can choose an option that suites you and your budget best.

Private Health Insurance

At Prodental, all major health fund cards are accepted and processed immediately through HICAPS rebate services, so that you will only need to pay the remaining balance of treatment costs.

Payment Methods

Prodental accepts payments by cash, credit card and EFTPOS.

At Prodental, we are proud to offer HICAPS facilities onsite to patients who have their private health insurance member card. HICAPS system allows members to swipe their member card and claim automatically on the spot saving you time and then you will only need to pay the remaining balance of treatment costs if needed.

We also participate in government Medicare Child Dental Benefits Schedule, from having to lodge your claim via the post or your health funds head office.
